WA: Two searches underway for fishermen missing off WA
Two separate searches are underway for fishermen missing off the West Australian coast.
North of Perth, Crayfishing boats, fisheries craft and planes are scanning the IndianOcean off Geraldton for two missing Perth men who sent a distress call from Turtle Bayat 4.30pm (WST) yesterday.
The pair, aged 48 and 50, were on a six-metre cabin cruiser.
Police say nothing more has been heard of the men, who apparently hadn't used flaresor a global positioning device.
Meanwhile, divers are facing rough conditions off the southwest coast as they lookfor signs of an angler swept off a rock on Sunday.
Police say the 24-year-old had been fishing with friends at Salmon Holes, 20 kilometressouth of Albany.
Conservation and Land Management records show over the past 30 years, 17 people havedied along the five-kilometre stretch of coast which includes Salmon Holes.
